The 34th winner of the 1000 Guineas, held on Thursday 22nd April 1847 over the Ditch Mile, was Clementina (3/1), a bay filly by Venison out of Cobweb, owned by Mr George Payne. The winner won by 1/2 a length, with 1 1/2 lengths back to the third. A field of 5 runners contested the race which was worth £1,450 (Equivalent to £155,200 in 2017)
